"Time for a change"!They said that to Me...Really!?

Updated: Jan 24, 2023

What person has said to you - 'It's time to get over it!' No, they said that while you were mourning the loss of a loved one! Not because you fell off a bike!

It's almost unbelievable to think someone could form those thoughts and then utter those words to say it to you when you are grieving. Sad, but they do. People say and do things without thinking and because of fear when you are experiencing, and THEY are experiencing pain from loss. Maybe they want you to feel better so they can copy you and think they feel better also. Maybe they feel uncomfortable and want you to have a semblance of feeling better so they can smile and feel better as well.

Ironically, there will come a time during your grief, that you may say to yourself: "I can either continue to cry and feel sorry for myself OR get up and LIVE to tell their story!" When you say the words of time for a change to yourself, like most self-talk it radiates and becomes accepted.
